Growing up, Louie Stowell wanted to be, in no particular order, Frodo Baggins, Doctor Who, Batman, Galadriel, Pippi Longstocking, and Miss Marple. She eventually decided that making up fictional characters and writing about them was the best career choice for her. Louie has written stories about vampires and pirates (not in the same story) plus she's also retold lots of old legends and fairytales. Louie has also written numerous non-fiction titles for children.
Freya lives and works in East London. She graduated from London College of Communication (University of the Arts) in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Illustration.
